Milestones

What's green and runs? No. It's not a new St. Patrick's Day tee shirt in the washing machine. It's five guys going to Burlington on Saturday morning for the St. Patrick's 5 K Race!

Three of us are Gibson tribesmen -- Paul Gibson, Maxime Hamel (Rebecca Gibson's husband), and me. The other two are novice racers -- Dave McCann, the hope of glory for Brossard, QC and Jared Siebert, a bright and shiny star from Guelph, ON -- who have been attracted to this insane hobby by yours truly and plan to bust the finish line tape for the first time sometime beween 10:00 and 11:00 AM.

The on-line promo (http://www.events.runningroom.com/site/?raceId=1828) promises Irish dancers and green beer! But we'll just be happy to get our finishing time and a St. Patrick's Day tee shirt which, I expect, will run in the washing machine. Hopefully, we will run better than the tee shirt!
